Bolingbrook Golf Club in Bolingbrook – Opened in 2002, it has quickly become recognized as one of the top municipal courses in the country. Named one of the “Top Ten You Can Play” by Golf Magazine, it is one of only two Arthur Hills-designs in Illinois. Among its unique features is a 600-yard par five and a par three with an island green.

The Glen Club in Glenview – Voted the 2008 “Best Public Golf Course in Illinois” by Golf Magazine you will be more than impressed by this golf course and its services. World renowned golf architect Tom Fazio transformed the Glenview Naval Air Station into an 18 – hole masterpiece worthy of hosting a Nationwide Tour event. Established in 2001, The Glen Club will test every aspect of your game throughout its 7,100 yard layout. Aces on this track won’t come easy as the par 3’s were voted “Best Par 3’s in Illinois” by Sports Illustrated.
Orchard Valley in Aurora is one of Chicagoland’s best public courses, Orchard Valley was ranked in 2010 as the “6th Best Public Course in Illinois” by GOLF Magazine. A true championship layout featuring wetlands, lakes, roughs, water hazards, waterfalls and more. Golf Digest ranks Orchard Valley with 4-1/2 Stars.
The Village Links in Glen Ellyn has long been recognized as a championship golf course having hosted 25 Western Open Qualifiers and scores of qualifiers for national USGA championships. The course was completely renovated in 2004, rebuilding every tee, green, fairway and bunker while retaining the essence of the original layout. This latest upgrade, which in addition to the expanded clubhouse also includes an enlarged driving range, gives golfers something exciting to enjoy for years to come.

Surrounding the Hilton Chicago Oak Brook Hills Resort, Willow Crest Golf Club is home to several noted professional and amateur golf events and offers quality playing conditions on its 18-hole, par 70 championship golf course. Designed by architect Dick Nugent, the course features manicured bent grass fairways, well bunkered greens and an abundance of water. The course offers multiple teeing areas accommodating golfers of all experience levels and tops out at 6,433 yards with a slope of 132.
Finally, I would include in this listing the Port and Starboard Courses at Harborside International Golf Center in Chicago. Both courses are links-style. There is water that comes into play and many very deep sand bunkers in keeping with the links tradition. “GOLFWEEK” selected the Port Course 100th among “America’s 100 Best Modern Courses” for 1999. The signature hole is #15 on the Port Course, a 216-yard, par 3, which is in the shape of an anchor.
