Orlando is a great destination, because the weather is great for the snow birds; the golf courses are plentiful, and the airfare is inexpensive.
Renting a house is a good way to go if you enjoy spending time with friends and need a place to stretch out. Regal Palms Resort provides multi-bedroom private homes with pools and upscale amenities that are close to championship golf, shopping and Orlando’s best attractions. Experience a different style of golf vacation in a 5-star home, our most popular accommodation for the past 2 seasons. Many homes come with BBQ’s and Jacuzzi’s. We can also house you at The Mystic Dunes Resort or the Courtyard by Marriott or Springhill Suites in Orlando.

Reunion Resort is the proud host site of the LPGA Ginn Open. This full-service resort offers a wide variety of housing options in a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy great golf, dining, entertainment, a full complement of spa services, a refreshing water park, and miles of nature trails.
Of course, we ate out all the time. We had Italian and sea food. I can recommend restaurants like DiAntonio’s in Celebration, and Tin Fish in Orlando if you need dining suggestions.

Rated by Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play” 2004 “A great new course” Disney’s Eagle Pines is rated 4 1/2 out of 5 stars, by Golf Digest and rated by Golf Magazine as one of America’s Top 25 Resort Courses.

We also visited the spectacular, new Reunion Resort (see photo above), located just minutes from Orlando’s attractions. If you’ve been yearning for the golf vacation of a lifetime, this is your trip. Reunion Resort is Orlando’s newest upscale resort community, and features 54 holes of top shelf championship golf designed by three of golf’s greatest; Arnold Palmer’s “Legacy”, Tom Watson’s “Independence”, and Jack Nicklaus’ “Tradition”.

But what about the golf? We played three comfortable tracks near our rental home. Bring your short game and imagination because the greens at Mystic Dunes require both to be at their best. Champions Tour player Gary Koch, who doubles as an on-course television reporter, created this interesting dramatic layout from native wetlands. This course boasts some of the most treacherous putting surfaces in the state.

We learned that this course will be closed later this year by Disney, and replaced by a Four Seasons Resort and new course on the property. Our favorite course was Celebration. . It is located within the thriving master-planned Celebration community. The Celebration Golf Club boasts one of the finest daily fee golf facilities in Central Florida. The renowned father-son team of Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and Jr. sculpted a park-like atmosphere within the natural wetland environment, creating a truly serene golf experience. The course boasts rolling terrain that weaves through a series of pristine lakes and periodic clusters of native oak, pine and magnolia.
Other courses we recommend in Orlando are Champions Gate, Falcon’s Fire and Orange County National.
