Where we Stayed
This year we chose sunny Arizona. As you know, the Midwest winters are long and frigid, so it was good to head to the Zona Resort in Scottsdale for a brief but fun respite from the ravages of Winter. This full – service resort is just steps from the famed TPC Scottsdale and offers unique 4 bedroom suites with kitchens and living rooms. Perfect for buddies traveling together. Another great resort nearby is The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa.
Where we Played
We played golf at Dove Valley and Rancho Manana, in nearby Cave Creek, and The Westin Kierland in Scottsdale. We also visited The Boulders Resort and Grayhawk Golf Club. The favorite course for the entire group was Rancho Manana. This woman friendly course was recently voted one of Arizona’s most scenic courses, and is in Golf Digest’s Top 50 courses for Women.
Where we Dined
Golf is important to us, but so are fun and games. So we had daily Happy Hours and games every night after dinner. Our restaurant choices on this trip were Jalapeno Inferno, Brio, and the Grayhhawk Golf Club. At Grayhawk, we had dinner outdoors, to cast off the ravages of Winter.
