We recently visited the San Diego area to scout a new destination for our clients. We came away impressed!
San Diego offers a moderate climate year round. The area has all that we desire in a golf vacation, great resorts, outstanding golf courses for players of all levels, fine dining, wonderful sightseeing to include the San Diego Zoo, Hotel Del Coronado, the aircraft carrier Midway, and more. Nightlife is abundant, and includes casinos in each area.
Rancho Bernardo Inn. This San Diego golf resort is only 30 minutes from the airport. It offers nearby attractions like the giraffes at Wild Animal Park, wine tasting in Temecula valley, and complimentary shuttles to nearby boutiques and cafes. This resort has over 280 spacious rooms and suites, 2 pools and tennis courts, a full service spa and fitness center. The El Bizcocho Restaurant was rated #1 in San Diego by Zagats.The resort has 18 championship holes on property, and lots of other golf courses nearby.

Temecula Creek Inn. This golf resort is 30 miles north of San Diego in wine country. There are 130 spacious guest rooms, each with its own private patio or balcony. The 27 hole championship course, recently rated 4 stars by Golf Digest Places to Play, was designed by Ted Robinson. The Temet Grill serves excellent cuisine inspired and enhances by local wineries. Enjoy a hot air balloon, and nearby shopping.
Compliment your package at one of these fine resorts by adding a round at one of these nearby San Diego golf courses: Choose from world renowned, Torrey Pines, home of the Buick Tourney each spring, with a breathtaking view of the Pacific Twin Oaks which lies adjacent to a picturesque protected wild life habitat, Encinitas Ranch, carved from a magnificent sweep of bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean or Oaks North, a course ideal for beginners and families on it’s executive 18 holes.
One that we played was Mt Woodson; a picturesque course in a valley surrounded by the Ramona Mountains The course has a long bridge that crosses a canyon 60 feet above the creek. There are many more courses to choose from in the area.
